Collection SummaryAfter the interview concluded Fen decided that she wanted references to her grandson removed because of potential disrespect to her daughter-in-law. As the interview was conducted in Chinese the Interpreter kindly agreed to review the edited audio file. The oral historian used the English content of the interview to determine where references were made about Fen’s grandson. Sometimes Fen responded directly to the interviewer in English.BiographyFen was born in 1943 in Sichuan Province, southern China. Fen studied Science and was an engineer in China but not Australia. She got a working visa to Australia with her husband in 1987.
