DescriptionLooking south from Toronto Parade towards Sutherland shopping centre when the building of the approaches to the railway crossing bridge at Grand Parade in 1985 was underway. In the distance the war memorial can be seen located in its original position near the corner of Eton Street. It was moved further south to Peace Park and rededicated on 18th October 1992. The distinctive building with a triple pitched roof on the corner of Old Princes Highway which has traded as a real estate agency for many years was once the site of Sunny Corner Garage. Today the section of Toronto Parade seen here has changed to accommodate two-way traffic and in 2021 a roundabout was installed to direct cars to other parts of Sutherland, Kirrawee, and Jannali.Date1985Image TypePrintColour DepthColourImage AspectLandscape
