BiographyAmy Keats, nee Lobb Meredith, was born in November 1914. Her mother died 12 months later and she was raised by her grandmother in Sutherland, who was a well known midwife in the area - Nurse Lobb. Her parents were Leslie Meredith and Adelaide Hayes.SynopsisAmy Keats talks about her grandmother, Nurse Lobb, who raised her from the age of 12 months. Her grandfather, Arthur Lobb, was a blacksmith who worked at Sutherland. Includes Nurse Lobb's night calls she drove a horse and sulky the Lobbs owned three blocks of land in Merton Street she was a keen supporter of the school wore a blue nurse's bonnet and cape worked a lot with Dr Cooley from Hurstville? and with Dr Miles and Dr Sanbrook woman inspector checked if Nurse Lobb had her bag and instruments in order, had to sterilise her gear would take forms to the Council Chambers listing those who had been treated other midwives Mrs Candy, Nurse Hill from Sylvania who covered the Cronulla area and would replace Nurse Lobb if she was ill, Mrs Pattinson from Como, Nurse Turner in Linden Street.
