BiographyPhyllis Rugless, nee Worswick, was born 1914. Her parents were John and Margaret Ellen Worswick. She grew up in a house her father built on the corner of Coorong Road and Gymea Bay Road, when it was a winding dirt track. She married Frederick Stanley Rugless in 1934.SynopsisPhyllis Rugless talks primarily about her parents and childhood. Includes her birth parents' move from England in 1912 moving to the Shire in 1915 father's employment as painter decorator and signwriter, including Sydney Harbour Bridge siblings house in Gymea Bay mother's household duties childhood friends neighbours local identities Nurse Lobb and family, shopkeeper Ralph Hancock at Post Office Corner (corner The Kingsway and Gymea Bay Road) and Orchid Store at Sylvania Heights, Mr Reilly the paperman, deliveries by the Stapleton family Church of England with Rev.
