BiographyFred Matson was a twin to brother Oscar born to parents Fred and Ethel. The family had established a boat letting business at Audley in the National Park after it opened in 1879. They also later set up a Pleasure Grounds on Yowie Bay. After the Pleasure Grounds closed a building was repurposed for boat building. Fred and his brother became long term boat builders in the area. Fred and his wife were also award winning ballroom dancers. He died in 1993 at the age of 94.
